Depends on how you package up the order.

Hi, This is an issue when the weight of the total order goes over the maximum weight they will accept in one package. Since the system doesn't know how you are going to package up the items for shipping it can only estimate the actual charges.

The current calculations take the total weight of the order and then divides that by 2 to get the weight under USPS maximum weight. Then the system gets the prices for that one package and doubles it to determine the cost of shipping of the order. If you package the items closer half of the total weight of the order then your actual shipping cost will be closer to the calculation used by the shopping cart. So in your order the total weight of the order was 108 lbs. The system broke that into two packages that that each weigh 54 lbs. The price for each package was $21.62 and the total shipping prices was $43.24.
