Frames

I realize from the documentation that frames are not the preferred method, but the site we have in place is built in frames primarily for functionality.
Here is the challenge I am experiencing:
Our online user (me for now) can walk through the shopping process, then view the cart, then click "checkout." A new window pops up with secure connection to auth.net. (No problem so far.) Once the transaction is complete, the online user (still me) closes the confirmation page and returns to our site. The problem is that the old information is still in the shopping cart if I continue to shop at this point. Is there a good way to remove this information...and "start the shopping process fresh?"
Any help will be appreciated.
