Checkout problem - click Updat e all disappears

Still setting up my cart. Had everything working fine last night, did a quick run thru tonight... Multiple problems...
When I add to cart from the catalog page, First no checkout options and / or button at all, and if I add to qty & update, it goes to a default emartcart page - my logo is gone and gift certificates appear. (I do not have gift certificates. Silver Plan)
When I change shipping option or add zip code and click update it removes everythng from the cart and goes to a default page (emart logo instead of mine) and says "no items in your cart"
