Shipping 1st 3 for Certain Amount

Hi,
I tried to read the posts about this but did not find one that matched. I am selling DVDs on the site now and they are a LOT lighter and easier to ship than the clothing. I want to ship the first 3 DVDs for $4.50 and then add an additional .$50 for each additional item after that so 1 through 3 would ship at $4.50 and item 4 would be $5.00 and 5 would be $5.50 etc. How do I do that without upsetting the settings for my other items in the store front? Also if they buy clothing as well, I would like for those items to ship the way I have had then set up already.
