Many merchants never sell more then 10 products a month and will continue to use the Free Service.
Yes, it is there to attrack customers - allowing them to try it out prior to paying. However, for most merchants it is designed as a starting point. We do expect as merchants grow, they will need more services from us or someone else.
The continue link is the only way for us to maintain a valid database of active merchants. We regret that it didn't work smoother. We do not feel it is too much to ask (or too many hoops) for our Free Merchants to login to their account once a month to continue using the service. If they are selling products they should be logging into the admin console on a regular basis.
Please understand that we are not trying to misrepresent our services but we are trying to adjust our services to meet the needs of the bulk of our customers.
