'FREE' Shopping Cart

Why do you even bother pretending that you run a FREE shopping cart service? It's just a gimmick to attract customers that you hope will start paying.
When I first signed up I thought it was cool. Then it changed and I had to log in once a month except the update button rarely worked. Now I'm told I have to start paying monthly or sign up for some other 'level' that you've created.
I don't mind paying for a shopping cart but at least be up front about it for goodness sake. Making non-paying customers jump through so many hoops that they either start paying or go elsewhere just so you can advertise your product as 'FREE' is underhand and won't win you many friends.
